  1. I now know real Ukrainians who are living in places that are under bombardment. I can’t unknow them and I can’t ignore what is happening to them. In addition to knowing, I am in a place to do something to help. How can I not do that?
  2. By virtue of my missionary calling, I represent both the places that I connect and also the space between them. These connections are both priviledge and responsibility. It’s my responsibility to get information into the hands of others who can help.
  3. The time to help is not when the danger has passed but when the opportunity arises.
  4. Following the example of Christ means giving up what security I have in order to enter into whatever disorder I am given the opportunity to inhabit.
  5. Ukraine today could very well be Estonia tomorrow.
