This summer we held our English Camp in town for the first time. Under Ben Ellis’ leadership and in partnership with KOMA Youth Organization (Josiah Venture in Estonia) we welcomed the Nõmme Church youth group from Tallinn to put on a mixed English and Music camp at the iconic OktaCentrum in Rapla.

The camp was a fantastic success with a great turnout of about 40 kids from the Rapla area, Tallinn and some even further afield who had attended previous camps. This was Ben’s first camp organized on Estonian soil and he did a great job. It was a real treat for me to be able to hand over the reigns and just pitch in where needed. Ben has done a great job of mobilizing our students over the last year and they all stepped up into leadership no problem. Some lead sessions teaching a new instrument, others helped with organization and administration and all of them pitched in to clean the whole building of debris and building materials (our only “charge” for using the place!).

Many thanks to the owner and administrator of OktaCentrum and to the KOMA team for helping us pull off a great camp this year!
